Tottenham Coach: We Deserve the Draw, Changing the Coach Doesn't Solve the Problem
Sunday 15-03-2026
Tottenham Hotspur coach Igor Tudor appeared in a press statement following the 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur in the 30th round of the English Premier League, held at Anfield Stadium.

The coach said, "Yes, we have to talk about the fighting spirit of the players today. It's a great and well-deserved point, and we showed team spirit. I congratulate the players."

He added: "It's very difficult to explain our circumstances. In training, we were preparing in a certain way. This morning, Conor [Gallagher] told us he couldn't play, so we needed to change the players and their positions. The situation is really strange, and it makes it harder to showcase our abilities. The players' performance was amazing."

Regarding the team's playing style: "In attack, we tried something different. At this moment, it's difficult to work on a fixed offensive structure, so we're trying to simplify it; otherwise, it might become more challenging. Our playing style is what it is, and I think it's a good start."

He continued: "The team spirit was fantastic. That was the main requirement. The quality is there. Every point is important, and we are focusing on each match individually. We hope today will be a turning point."

He concluded about his position and future: "In every club in the world, the situation is similar [to Tottenham] when the team does not achieve a good result. Changing the coach gives hope, but the problem remains, and the coach must find a solution for it. Journalists like to ask these questions, but it is pointless. Coaches are obliged to address them; otherwise, they might as well stay at home. You insist on asking the same questions."
