Postponement of the West Asia Youth Championship in Kuwait Until Further Notice
The West Asian Football Federation announced the postponement of the 4th Under-20 Youth Championship, which was scheduled to be held in Kuwait from March 23 to April 2, 2026, until further notice.
The decision to postpone came in light of the current circumstances in the region, in addition to organizational and security challenges that affected the possibility of holding the championship on its scheduled date. This prompted the federation to make the decision to ensure the safety of the participating teams and all elements of the game.
The fourth edition of the tournament was expected to feature the participation of 11 teams from the West Asian federations. The teams were divided into three groups, with the winner of each group, along with the best second-placed team, advancing to the semi-finals.
The West Asian Football Federation confirmed that it will announce the new date for the tournament at a later time, and it will also decide whether it will be held in Kuwait as previously planned or moved to another country.
