Liverpool Plans Offensive Changes in the Summer
Monday 09-03-2026
The journalist specializing in transfer news, Fabrizio Romano, revealed that Liverpool is planning to make significant changes to their attacking line during the upcoming summer transfer window, given the team's decline in performance compared to last season when they won the Premier League title.

Liverpool currently occupies sixth place in the league standings, trailing leaders Arsenal by 19 points, making the task of retaining the title almost impossible. Despite this, the team continues to compete in the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup, while also striving to finish the season within the top five to secure qualification for the Champions League next season.

According to Romano, Liverpool's management is aware of the need to strengthen the winger position with new players, noting that the future of the duo Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo might be up for discussion next summer, given the team's declining offensive performance this season.

Romano explained that Liverpool is already considering several options to strengthen this position, confirming that the club admires the capabilities of the player Michael Olise. However, the chances of signing him seem very slim due to Bayern Munich's insistence on retaining his services and the absence of a release clause in his contract that would allow for an easy departure.

In the same context, "TEAMtalk" reported that Liverpool's management has placed the young talent Yan Diomande, a Leipzig player, at the top of their target list for the summer transfer market, especially with considerations for the post-Mohamed Salah era.

The report added that the 19-year-old player is highly valued within his club, with Leipzig estimating his worth at around 100 million euros, approximately 87 million pounds, as the German club insists on receiving this amount amid growing interest in his services in the upcoming period.
