A Severe Penalty Hits Damac: Suspension of Club President After Al-Ahli Match Incident

The Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation announced the imposition of official sanctions on Khalid Saeed Al-Shahrani, the president of Damac, due to the incidents that occurred during his team's match against Al-Ahli in the Roshn League.

This penalty came after Damac lost to Al-Ahli by a score of 1-0 in the match that brought the two teams together in the tenth round of the Saudi Roshn League on February 23rd.

The committee decided to suspend the Damac president for two official matches following the referee's report regarding his misconduct towards some officials during the Al-Ahli Jeddah match.

The decision also required Khaled Saeed Al-Shahrani to pay a fine of 20,000 riyals, in addition to the immediate implementation of the suspension penalty in accordance with the approved regulations.

The Disciplinary Committee confirmed that the decision issued is final and cannot be appealed, based on Article 144 of the Disciplinary and Ethics Regulations approved by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation.

In terms of competitions, Damac is preparing for an important match against Riyadh in the twenty-fifth round of the Roshn League at Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium.

Damac is struggling this season as they occupy the sixteenth position in the league standings with 16 points, collected from two wins, 10 draws, and 12 losses over 24 rounds.
