Official Move by Al-Ahly Before the Derby Against Al-Ittihad: What Did They Do?
The Al-Ahli Jeddah fan association submitted an official request to the Saudi Professional League in preparation for the anticipated derby match against Al-Ittihad in the 26th round of the Roshn League.
Al-Ahly fans expressed their desire to create a special "tifo" to decorate their stands during the match against Al-Ittihad, scheduled to take place at the Al-Inma Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah on March 6th.
The request also included permission to raise a banner specifically for the derby, alongside the tifo, while awaiting official approval from the league association before proceeding with the preparation of the final designs.
If the request is approved, this will be the third tifo for Al-Ahly fans this season, following the previous displays against Al-Hilal in the league and Pyramids in the Confederation Cup Challenge final.
The newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" reported that the association has required this season that requests for tifos be submitted ten days before the match, as part of the new approved regulatory guidelines.
These mass movements come as part of the early preparations for the Jeddah Derby, which garners widespread attention and is considered one of the most prominent matches in the Saudi Professional League.
