Walid Regragui, the coach of the Moroccan national team, has caught the attention of top clubs in the Saudi Roshn League amid rising speculations about his future with the "Atlas Lions."

The Moroccan Football Federation had issued an official statement weeks ago denying the rumors about Regragui's resignation from his position, affirming that he would continue to lead the national team.

Regragui led the Moroccan national team to the runner-up position in the latest Africa Cup of Nations, after losing the final to Senegal by a single goal, in a tournament that witnessed strong competition.

The French network RMC Sport revealed that the Moroccan coach is close to leaving his position, with negotiations underway to terminate the contract, amid expectations that the decision will be officially announced soon.

The network clarified that top clubs in the Saudi league have already started reaching out to Regragui, in anticipation of his departure, confirming that he will not be without an offer if he parts ways with the Moroccan federation.

Regragui has several prominent coaching options, thanks to his distinguished career, which includes leading Morocco to the semi-finals of the 2022 Qatar World Cup and achieving runner-up in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

During three and a half years with the national team, Regragui achieved a historic feat by securing 18 consecutive victories, marking the longest winning streak in the history of national teams.
