Manchester United Decides on McTominay's Return
Tuesday 24-02-2026
Manchester United has categorically denied the news circulated by the media regarding its desire to re-sign the Scottish international Scott McTominay, the Napoli midfielder.

The "TEAMtalk" website confirmed that there is no intention to pay a huge sum of up to 70 million pounds to bring him back to Old Trafford.

Since his move to Napoli in 2024, McTominay has become one of the standout stars of the Italian league, winning the Player of the Year award in his first season and securing his place in the Team of the Year.

The 29-year-old player continued to shine this season by scoring 10 goals and assisting 4 others in 34 matches, making him the focus of major European clubs' attention.

Despite Manchester United's search to strengthen the midfield during the summer transfer window, sources within the club confirmed that McTominay's name was not discussed internally and there was no communication between the parties.

While advanced negotiations are underway to renew the player's contract with Napoli, the player has expressed his happiness to stay with the Italian club for a long time.
