According to the Spanish newspaper 'AS', the renewal process actually began last summer with the signing of player Dean Housen from Bournemouth for 58 million euros. However, the center-back position remains a priority after confirming the difficulty of consistently relying on both David Alaba and Antonio Rüdiger, in addition to the ongoing injury of Eder Militao, prompting the club to also consider its young players.
