Moyes Settles the Debate on Everton's Negotiations with Saud Abdulhamid
Sunday 22-02-2026
Scottish David Moyes, the manager of Everton, denied the reports claiming that he requested to sign Saudi international Saud Abdulhamid in the upcoming period.

Moyes confirmed that all the rumors about the English club's interest in signing Roma's full-back, who is currently on loan to Lens, are completely unfounded, emphasizing that there has been no official move.

English press reports had indicated that Everton had inquired about the player's status, along with monitoring from Newcastle United, which opened the door to speculation about his future.

The Scottish coach clarified in statements reported by the "Al-Riyadiyah" newspaper that his club's management has not entered into any negotiations with the player or his club, denying any current desire to complete the deal.

Saud, who is 24 years old, is undergoing a loan experience with Lens since last summer, after moving to Roma from Al Hilal in the summer of the year before last.

The Saudi full-back played 19 matches across various competitions this season with Lens, delivering impressive performances, after having participated in only eight matches with Roma before going out on loan.
