Isak Aims for Return to Liverpool by End of Next Month

The British newspaper The Times reported that Swedish striker Alexander Isak is aiming to return to play with Liverpool by the end of next month, after making positive progress in his recovery from a leg fracture and an ankle injury he sustained last December.

The newspaper indicated that the player started running again on the field this week as part of his rehabilitation program.

The Times quoted Liverpool coach Arne Slot expressing cautious optimism about the player's recovery progress, confirming that the recovery process is proceeding according to plan. However, he emphasized that Isak has not yet reached the stage of training with the ball or with the group, and the club is handling the situation cautiously to avoid any new setbacks.

The report added that the Swedish striker might return to matches at the end of March or the beginning of April, a timing that could coincide with the international break. His return could align with Sweden's participation in the World Cup qualifying playoffs, while the coaching staff aims to restore the player to his best form before the end of the season or in the long term.

Isak had joined Liverpool in a record deal worth around 125 million pounds, but he faced a difficult start due to injuries and a short preparation period before suffering a severe injury during a match against Tottenham, which sidelined him for several months. This prompted the club to handle his return to participation with great caution.
