Dutchman Arne Slot, the coach of Liverpool, confirmed that the team has started to show noticeable improvement in its performance, noting that striker Alexander Isak might return to participate in matches at the beginning of April next year.

Liverpool is preparing to face Nottingham Forest next Sunday as part of the 27th round of the English Premier League.

Slot said at the press conference before the match: "Compared to the past few weeks, I don't think much has changed. In the last 19 matches, we lost twice, both in extra time, and we didn't deserve to lose."

He continued: "We didn't need yesterday to know how difficult it is to win in the English Premier League, which makes the tournament better this season compared to what it was four, five, or six years ago, as the level of competition has increased."

He added, "We have improved compared to where we were three or four months ago. We are now in a much better position, clearly due to our high physical fitness and noticeable improvement in set pieces."

Slot said, "We only have tonight to see if the new Nottingham Forest coach will make changes to the lineup. The positive side is that they will play the match, and the coach has previous experience in the Premier League."

He continued: "Jeremie Frimpong will not participate this week, and we hope he will participate next week if things go as planned. As for Endo, he will be absent for a long time, and we do not know the exact duration."

Slot concluded by saying: "Isaac participated in on-field training wearing running shoes for the first time this week, so it will take some time before his return. It might be at the end of March or the beginning of April, depending on whether he avoids any setbacks. This does not mean he will be ready to play immediately."
