Hossam El Zanaty, the deputy sporting director of the Danish club Nordsjælland, revealed the behind-the-scenes details of the deal to sign the player Ibrahim Adel to the club.

Al-Zanati said in statements to "ON Sport" channel: "Nordsjælland's interest in Ibrahim Adel began three years ago, since the Mansour family took over the club, but the negotiations were not completed due to financial disagreements in the past two seasons."

He explained: "His name was proposed just two days before the registration deadline, so we contacted Al Jazira Club in the UAE, and we successfully completed the deal."

Al-Zanati denied the player's desire to join Al-Ahly, saying: "If he wanted to return to Egypt, he would have done so directly, especially since Al-Jazira was open to selling, and the player made significant concessions to complete his transfer."

He added: "Al Ahly is a big club, and its ethics do not allow such matters, nor do the owners of Nordsjælland, and it is impossible for the club to engage in such practices."
