Wednesday 11-02-2026
Al-Karama Club officially announced its signing of Palestinian player Islam Batran to strengthen the team's lineup in the attacking midfield position. This deal aims to enhance the team's offensive capabilities with diverse Arab experience during the current season.

Batran is 31 years old and has a rich professional career with several Arab clubs, most notably Al-Fahaheel in Kuwait, Al-Safa in Lebanon, Al-Ahli Tripoli in Libya, in addition to his experience in Egypt with Wadi Degla, and in Jordan with Al-Jazeera Club. He also had a brief stint in the Iraqi league and has represented the Palestinian national team internationally on numerous occasions.

Batran's move to the Syrian league carries a different significance, as many Palestinian players have previously participated in the Syrian league, but all of them were refugees residing in Syria. In contrast, Batran is from the West Bank, which gives the deal a unique and exceptional character.

The Al-Karama club welcomed its new player, wishing him success in his experience with the "Blue Eagles," amidst fans' hopes that he will make a significant technical contribution and help achieve positive results for the team in the upcoming period.
