This brilliance came after a difficult phase the player went through, following his participation with the Moroccan national team in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals, where he missed a decisive penalty in the final match against Senegal. Despite this, he finished the tournament as the top scorer with 5 goals, clearly indicating his mental strength and ability to overcome pressure.

Since his return to Madrid, Diaz has shown a positive reaction, especially during the last three matches, where he has been an influential element in the team's performance and results. In the match against Rayo Vallecano, he assisted Vinicius Junior's opening goal, and then won a penalty in the final minutes, from which Kylian Mbappe scored the winning goal (2-1). The Spanish newspaper "AS" confirmed that Brahim Diaz is pushing hard to establish himself in the starting lineup, benefiting from the outstanding performances he delivers, both in terms of offensive effectiveness and mental presence on the field.
