Al Ahly Offers $1.6 Million to Extend Aliou Dieng's Contract

Al Ahly club officials continue their efforts to persuade Malian midfielder Aliou Dieng to extend his contract, which expires at the end of the current season, as the management wishes to retain one of the key pillars within the ranks of the Red team.

According to what was revealed by the media personality Saif Zaher on his television program, Sayed Abdel Hafiz, the general supervisor of the football sector at Al-Ahly Club, held a meeting with Dieng recently to discuss extending his contract for an annual salary of up to $1.6 million, in an attempt to settle the matter early.

Zaher explained that Pyramids Club has entered the race to sign Aliou Dieng with determination, taking advantage of the player's right to sign with any club for free starting from last January, which has made negotiations more difficult for Al Ahly's management.

The media personality confirmed that Sayed Abdel Hafeez is currently working on bridging the gap between the two parties in an effort to convince the player to stay with the Red Castle, noting that the coming hours will be decisive in determining Dieng's future with the team.

The Danish coach of Al Ahly, Jesper Torup, refused to let go of Aliou Dieng during the last winter transfer window, emphasizing his insistence on keeping the player due to his technical importance and influential role in the team's midfield.
