The Moroccan international Soufiane El Karouani, a player for the Dutch club Utrecht, has settled the controversy surrounding his professional future after increasing reports about his move to the Saudi league.

In statements to Football International magazine, the Croatian affirmed his full commitment to his club until the end of the current season, emphasizing that he is currently focused on giving his best on the field, and that he will make his final decision regarding his future within the next two weeks.

The Utrecht player denied the accuracy of the news claiming he had signed an official contract with a Saudi club, clarifying that he has not yet decided on his next destination and is considering several available options, including European offers.

Al-Karwani emphasized that his future choices are not tied to financial aspects as much as they are related to his desire to continue his football career in the best possible way and to keep competing at the highest level possible.

Foot Mercato had previously reported that the Croatian player had reached an agreement with the Saudi club Al-Qadsiah to join the team starting from June 2026 after the end of his contract with Utrecht, which the player indirectly denied.

The Croatian participated with Utrecht in 35 matches across various competitions this season, during which he scored 3 goals and provided 15 assists, affirming his influential presence with the Dutch team.
