Monday 02-02-2026
The Saudi Arabian Football Federation has received official offers from two Gulf countries to host the upcoming edition of the Saudi Super Cup, reflecting the growing regional interest in the tournament.

The Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" confirmed that Bahrain and Kuwait have entered the race to bid for hosting the local Super Cup, after submitting comprehensive dossiers to the organizing bodies.

The newspaper clarified that the Competitions Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation has tentatively set November 30 as the date for the Super Cup tournament.

The proposals submitted by Bahrain and Kuwait are currently under review by the relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia, in preparation for making the final decision regarding the host country.

The current data indicates that hosting the tournament in Kuwait is the most likely option, but the official decision still depends on completing the organizational arrangements and agreeing on the final details.

The Kuwait Football Association had sent an official letter to its Saudi counterpart, expressing its desire to host the Super Cup, which includes the champions and runners-up of the Saudi Roshn League and the King's Cup.

The Saudi League Association is expected to set August 13 as the start date for the new season, with the King’s Cup competitions beginning on the 16th of the same month.
