Al-Shabab secured an important victory against their guest Al-Fayha, defeating them 1-0 in the match held on Sunday evening, marking the opening of the 20th round of the Saudi Roshn League.

The only goal of the match came from Englishman Josh Brownhill in the 40th minute, capitalizing on a precise cross to secure three valuable points for his team at the SHG Arena in Riyadh.

With this victory, Al-Shabab raised their tally to 19 points in the standings, affirming their late resurgence, while Al-Fayha's tally remained at 20 points, keeping them close to the danger zones.

This victory marks the second consecutive win for Al-Shabab in the current season, following a wide-margin victory in the previous round against Al-Hazm with a score of four goals to none.

The youth team dominated most of the first half and threatened the goal early through Wesley Hoedt, while Al-Fayha almost surprised the hosts if not for the brilliance of the defense and goalkeeper Marcelo Grohe.

The second half was continuously thrilling, with goalkeepers Grohe and Orlando Mosquera excelling in saving several clear chances, while both teams failed to score despite their mutual attempts.

With this performance, the youth affirmed their serious desire to escape the danger zones, benefiting from increased cohesion, at a time when Al-Fayha's struggles worsened with the continued loss of points.
