The coaching staff of Al-Ahli team is awaiting the status of Turkish defender Merih Demiral regarding his participation in the anticipated match against Al-Hilal, as part of the Saudi Pro League's Roshn Classic, scheduled to take place next Monday.

The Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" reported that Demiral will undergo crucial medical tests before the training session on Sunday to determine his readiness and the possibility of traveling with the Al-Ahli delegation heading to Riyadh in preparation for the match.

The newspaper indicated that the player's situation remains unclear so far, as he continues to follow his rehabilitation program under the supervision of the medical and physical staff, without a final decision regarding his participation.

For his part, German Matthias Jaissle, the coach of Al-Ahli Jeddah, emphasized the importance of ensuring Demiral's full readiness, affirming that there is no intention to risk playing him, especially after he suffered a minor groin muscle tear during the match against Al-Khaleej, which ended with Al-Ahli's 4-1 victory in the 17th round of the Roshn League.
