Ashraf Dari Escalates the Crisis Within Al-Ahly and Insists on Staying
Monday 26-01-2026
The Moroccan Ashraf Dari, defender of Al Ahly club, rejected all proposals presented by the Red Castle management for him to leave during the current winter transfer window, despite being excluded from the plans of the Danish coach Jes Thorup.

Al-Ahly decided to remove Ashraf Dari's name from both the local and African rosters to make room for his fellow countryman, the new recruit Youssef Belamri, which further complicated the Moroccan defender's position within the team.

According to Al-Ahram newspaper, Al-Ahly's management proposed to Dari the idea of leaving on loan during the current month of January, with the club covering his full salary, in an attempt to contain the crisis. However, the player rejected the offer.

The newspaper confirmed that Ashraf Dari also refuses to terminate his contract by mutual consent and insists on receiving all his financial dues. It is worth noting that he joined Al-Ahly in the summer of 2024 from the French club Brest for two million dollars, leaving his case unresolved until further notice.
