Al Ahly Confirms Hamza Abdel Karim's Transfer to Barcelona
Walid Salah El-Din, the football director at Al Ahly Club of Egypt, confirmed the transfer of the young striker Hamza Abdel Karim, aged 18, to the Spanish club Barcelona, in a deal that is on loan with a purchase option, according to the Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo.'
Salah El-Din explained in statements reported by the newspaper that the player will indeed move to Barcelona, wishing him success in his upcoming career and his ability to establish himself within the Catalan club and not return to Egypt, indicating his desire for the experience to be fully successful.
The newspaper mentioned that the deal, pending official announcement, will be in the form of a loan until the end of the season, with a purchase option not exceeding 3 million euros, with the value rising to 5 million euros if the variables stipulated in the contract are achieved.
The report added that Hamza Abdel Karim bid farewell to his teammates at Al Ahly and is expected to arrive in Barcelona next week to join the reserve team.
