Irishman Brendan Rodgers, coach of Al-Qadsiah, ignored directly responding to the statements of Al-Ittihad's Portuguese coach, Sergio Conceicao, affirming that his team deserved the victory in the match between the two teams on Thursday, as part of the 17th round of the Saudi Professional League.

Al-Qadsia succeeded in turning their deficit into a valuable 2-1 victory in the match held at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam. Colombian Julian Quinones shone by scoring both goals for the team, leading Al-Qadsia to a well-deserved win against one of the league's top teams.

Rodgers said during the press conference after the match: "Before the game, I was asked if we would continue with the offensive approach, and my answer was yes, and that's what we implemented today," noting that his team played with great courage and attacked strongly until they managed to turn the score around.

The Al-Qadisiyah coach added: "We were close to scoring more than two goals, and our performance is continuously improving, but I always emphasize the importance of focus, humility, and continuing to work." He concluded his remarks in response to Conceição's doubts by saying: "I will not respond; we deserved to win today's match."
