Wednesday 21-01-2026
The Turkish defender of Al-Ahli, Merih Demiral, sustained an injury during his participation in the match against Al-Khaleej, which ended with Al-Raqi winning 4-1, as part of the 17th round of the Saudi Roshn League.

The Al-Ahli management has begun subjecting Demiral to thorough medical examinations using imaging techniques to determine the nature of the injury he sustained during the last match.

The Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" reported that the injury is concentrated in the adductor muscle, and the results of the examination will determine the duration of the necessary treatment and rehabilitation program for the player.

Demiral received a yellow card as he was leaving the field injured against Al-Khaleej, which officially disqualifies him from participating in the next match due to an accumulation of cautions.

As a result, the Turkish defender will miss the upcoming match against Al-Ahli in the 18th round of the Saudi Roshan League.

Demiral participated in 24 matches across all competitions this season, during which he managed to score two goals and provide one assist.

Al-Ahly is preparing to face Neom next Saturday, while the team currently holds second place in the standings with 37 points, accumulated from 11 wins, 4 draws, and one loss.
