Al-Nassr Raises Wesley's Price and Benfica Withdraws from the Deal
Tuesday 20-01-2026
A recent news report revealed new developments regarding the future of Brazilian winger Wesley Gasofa at Saudi club Al-Nassr, amid ongoing negotiations for his transfer to Portuguese club Benfica during the current winter transfer window.

The report explained that Benfica's management is seeking to finalize the deal for an amount ranging between 10 and 12 million euros, which does not align with Al-Nassr club's financial demands.

Al-Nassr insists on receiving 15 million euros to agree to the sale of Wesley Gasova, which has caused the negotiations to stall in recent days without reaching a final agreement.

Al-Yaum Saudi newspaper confirmed that the financial gap between the two parties remains the main obstacle preventing the Brazilian winger's transfer to the Portuguese league from being completed so far.

Wesley Gasova has delivered impressive performances wearing the Al-Nassr jersey this season, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists in 18 appearances across various competitions.

Wesley joined Al-Nassr in the summer of 2023, coming from Brazil's Corinthians in a deal worth 18 million euros, which makes the matter of letting him go easily even more complicated.
