Monday 19-01-2026
Manchester City officially announced the completion of the signing of the English international defender Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace, on a contract lasting five and a half years, until the summer of 2031, according to the official Manchester City website.

The club stated that 25-year-old Guehi is the team's second signing during the current winter transfer window, following the acquisition of winger Antoine Semenyo, as part of City's efforts to strengthen its squad with distinguished players.

Guehi is considered one of the most prominent defenders in the English Premier League in recent years, having played 188 matches for Crystal Palace across various competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing 8 assists, which has given him extensive experience at the highest level.

On the international level, the English defender has played 26 international matches with the England national team and has succeeded in establishing himself as a key player within the Three Lions squad, thanks to his consistent performance and defensive abilities.

Manchester City did not disclose the financial value of the deal, but press reports confirmed that City initially spent £20 million on a deal described as strategic to strengthen the defense line amid a series of injuries that recently hit the team.
