Monday 19-01-2026
French star N'Golo Kanté has opened the door wide to speculation after showing openness to the idea of transferring to Turkish club Fenerbahçe during the current winter transfer window.

Fenerbahçe continues its intensive negotiations with Kanté, while Al-Ittihad's management remains determined to keep the midfielder and not let him go during the January transfer window.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that talks between Kanté and Fenerbahçe are ongoing this week, noting that the player has given his preliminary approval to take on the Turkish experience.

Romano explained that negotiations with Al-Ittihad club are still ongoing, as Fenerbahçe seeks to reach a satisfactory financial agreement to finalize the deal officially.

Kanté, 34 years old, joined Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2023 after his contract with English club Chelsea ended, signing a three-season deal.

The French international has entered the free period in his contract with the federation, granting him the right to sign with any club without needing approval from the Al-Omayed management.

Kanté has played 102 matches for Al-Ittihad across various competitions, during which he scored 9 goals and provided 10 assists, according to statistics from Transfermarkt.
