Ittihad Requests Inclusion of Al-Hilal Star in Exchange for Al-Aboud's Departure to Al-Zaeem

Developments in the winter transfer market have opened the door for a potential swap deal between Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad Jeddah, amid mutual moves by both clubs to strengthen their squads before the transfer window closes.

Al-Ittihad Club has submitted an official request to acquire the services of Mohammed Kanno, the midfielder of Al-Hilal, on a loan basis during the winter transfer window, according to what was revealed by the newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" through its official account.

The federation's move came in response to Al-Hilal's desire to sign Abdulrahman Al-Aboud from the Jeddah team on loan until the end of the current season, with no final agreement reached so far.

The data indicates that the negotiations are still in their early stages, with each party firmly holding onto its conditions, awaiting a resolution in the coming days.

Abdulrahman Al-Aboud had previously held a meeting with the Al-Ittihad management to discuss his future, after being excluded from matches by a disciplinary decision from the coaching staff led by the Portuguese Sergio Conceição.

Al-Aboud prioritizes regular participation in matches, aiming to secure a spot on the Saudi national team roster led by French coach Hervé Renard for the 2026 World Cup.

The swap deal remains contingent on Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad agreeing on the final details, at a time when the winter transfer market is witnessing intense competition among the major clubs.
