Slott: The result does not reflect the players' development, and Liverpool's standards are higher than a draw

Arne Slott, the head coach of Liverpool, expressed his frustration with the draw against Burnley in the Premier League, emphasizing that the match result did not reflect the true level shown by some of the players, despite the clear improvement in performance during the game.

Slott said in his statements during the press conference after the match: "We are all feeling frustrated with the results, but sometimes the score does not reflect the progress of some players. Kirkez has improved a lot, Virtz scored a wonderful goal, and Frimpong was a significant threat, but the result does not show that, which adds to the frustration."

The Liverpool coach continued discussing the course of the match, saying: "There was a major warning moment when we almost conceded a goal, and on the other hand, we had two clear chances. Overall, we performed well in building attacks and played more directly."

Regarding the crowd's reaction after the final whistle, Klopp explained: "In my opinion, it wasn't so much boos as it was an expression of frustration. We are Liverpool, and we were playing against Burnley, who deserve credit, but if we felt satisfied with this result, then something is wrong."

He added: "In football, a team might get only two chances and score, while another team gets many opportunities, as happened with us today, yet the match ends with both teams scoring. This is not new to us and is often frustrating."

Liverpool's coach concluded his statements by saying: "We have become more cautious in conceding goals, which has made creating chances more difficult. It's true that we haven't lost in 12 consecutive matches, but our standards at Liverpool are higher than that."
