Al Ahly Club has regained the services of Ivorian player Franck Kessié, as he has returned to participate in group training sessions following the conclusion of his involvement with the Ivory Coast national team in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations tournament held in Morocco.

Kessié's return comes at an important time, as Al-Ahli prepares to face Al-Kholood on Saturday evening in the 16th round of the Roshn Saudi Professional League, in a match where the team aims to continue its progress.

The last training session saw Kessié participate for the first time since his return, following his national team's exit from the Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinals after losing to Egypt with a score of three goals to two.

The Al Ahly midfielder played in all of Ivory Coast's matches during the tournament and managed to provide one assist, without scoring any goals, before his team's participation ended in the knockout stages.

Frank Kessié missed six matches for Al-Ahli due to his international commitments, including five games in the Saudi League and one match in the AFC Champions League.

During Kessié's absence, Al-Ahli managed to secure five victories, with only one loss against Al-Fateh. They currently occupy fourth place in the Saudi League standings with 31 points.
