Negotiations to Renew Hussein El Shahat's Contract with Al-Ahly Stalled
Negotiations between Al-Ahly player Hussein El Shahat and the club have stalled due to the player's high financial demands.
The journalist Gamal El-Ghandour said on the program "Stad Al-Mahwar" that, according to a source inside Al-Ahly club, El-Shahat wants to receive more than 35 million Egyptian pounds in his new contract, while Al-Ahly's offer stops at only 25 million pounds.
The source added that Al-Ahly will seek to increase the player's advertising contract value to convince him to remain with the Red team and not leave.
Al Ahly was eliminated from the Egypt Cup at the group stage after losing 2-1 to Tala'ea El Gaish yesterday, Thursday, in the seventh round.
