The management of Al-Ittihad Club has finalized its decision regarding the future of French star N'Golo Kanté, after receiving an official offer from Turkish club Fenerbahçe to sign him during the current winter transfer window.

Fenerbahçe has shown a serious interest in signing Kanté, taking advantage of his entry into the free agency period of his contract with Al-Ittihad, which grants them the right to negotiate and sign with him without needing to consult his club's management.

Italian journalist Nicolo Schira revealed that the club firmly rejected the Turkish offer, confirming that the club does not intend to let go of the French midfielder at this time.

Schira explained on his account on the "X" platform that the Portuguese coach Sérgio Conceição considers Kanté an essential and indispensable player, and prefers to strengthen the team with new signings rather than let him go.

In a related context, Al-Ittihad officials are awaiting Kanté's response to the offer for renewing his contract, especially as he enters the free period this January, leaving his future open to all possibilities.

According to Al-Riyadiyah newspaper, the federation offered to extend Kanté's contract for one season with a lower salary, while the French player hopes to secure a longer contract lasting two seasons or more.

The report indicated that one Turkish club does not object to meeting Kanté's conditions by purchasing the remaining period of his contract, which extends until the summer of 2026, in case renewal negotiations fail.

Kanté's final decision is tied to determining his fate during the winter transfer window, whether to continue with Al-Ittihad until the end of the season or to embark on a new experience outside the Saudi league.

It is worth mentioning that the 34-year-old Kanté joined Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2023, coming from Chelsea. He has participated in 101 matches across all competitions, scoring 9 goals and providing 10 assists.
