English defender Marc Guehi has become a central target in the winter transfer market after entering the last six months of his contract with Crystal Palace, according to Sky Sports. Despite passing interest from clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich, Manchester City is the only club that has shown a genuine willingness to sign him in January.

City aims to strengthen its defense following injuries to Gvardiol and Diaz and doubts surrounding the futures of Stones and Aké, making the acquisition of Guehi this month a top priority for the team. The club is also prepared to make a substantial financial offer to convince Crystal Palace to allow an early transfer.

Guehi can also wait until his contract expires on June 30 and join any club as a free agent, which would open opportunities for other clubs such as Liverpool, Arsenal, and Bayern Munich next summer. However, according to reports, Manchester City is the only club seeking to complete the deal in the current January window.

Crystal Palace coach Oliver Glasner confirmed that the player might stay with the team until the end of the season, but he pointed out that any player could leave if the financial conditions are attractive and the player wishes to depart, which opens the door for City to finalize the deal.
