The Moroccan national team made a historic return to the semifinals of the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time since the 2004 edition, ending a 22-year wait to be back in the continental tournament's final four.

The "Atlas Lions" last reached the semifinals in the 2004 Tunisia edition, when coach Badou Zaki's team advanced to the final match but ultimately finished in second place.

With this achievement, the Moroccan national team raises its record to five appearances in the semifinals of the Africa Cup of Nations throughout its history, affirming its presence among the continent's elite and continuing to write new chapters in its continental journey.
