Zamalek Opens the Door for Mohamed El-Sayed's Departure in January
Zamalek club officials have decided to open the door for the departure of Mohamed El-Sayed, the first team's midfielder, during the current winter transfer window, due to stalled negotiations over renewing his contract, which expires at the end of this season.
According to Al-Youm Al-Sabea newspaper, Zamalek's management informed the player of their approval for his departure in January, provided that an official offer suitable for the club is presented, in order to gain financial benefit before he enters the free transfer period.
The newspaper confirmed that the White administration gave Mohamed El-Sayed two options with no third alternative: either accept a contract renewal for five years with an annual salary of 5 million pounds, or submit an official request to leave during the winter transfer window, with the possibility of being sidelined if his situation remains unresolved.
Reports indicated that the player is currently considering options for playing abroad, while some media reports have linked his name to a free transfer to Al Ahly next summer if a final agreement is not reached with Zamalek's management.
