The media personality Khaled Al-Ghandour confirmed on his program "Stad Al-Mehwar" that the matches between Al-Ahly and Pyramids, as well as Al-Ahly and Zamalek, will be officiated by foreign referees.

Al-Ghandour stated that Al-Ahly sent its request to bring in foreign referees for the matches against Pyramids and Zamalek two weeks before the draw for the final stage of the league.

He added, "The referees' committee has taken action and officially contacted the European federations. Zamalek and Pyramids do not have the right to object and insist on Egyptian referees."

He continued: "The competition regulations do not stipulate the necessity of both clubs' approval if one of them requests foreign referees, and the rumors are incorrect. The matches of Al Ahly against Pyramids and Zamalek will have foreign refereeing."
