Marmoush's Position on Moving to Tottenham
Football Insider revealed that the Egyptian player Omar Marmoush does not prefer to move to Tottenham during the current winter transfer window, despite speculation suggesting a possible departure from Manchester City.
Mick Brown, former scout for Tottenham and Manchester United, told Football Insider: "Tottenham is interested in signing Marmoush, and this deal would be suitable for the club, but I do not know if it is suitable for the player himself."
He added: "Moving to Tottenham would give him more regular playing time, which is definitely beneficial, but he feels he still has a role at Manchester City."
The same source pointed out that Marmoush, 26 years old and currently participating with the Egyptian national team in the Africa Cup of Nations, has started only four matches this season across all competitions after his role diminished in the Sky Blues team.
The report explained that Tottenham remains interested in another Manchester City player, Savinho, who might be a more realistic target after his reduced role at Manchester City.
The report confirmed that Pep Guardiola does not see Savinho as a key player in the lineup, but interest from other clubs might push the player to seek regular playing time, which could make his transfer to Tottenham a likely possibility during the January transfer window.
