This came after Al-Ahli's 3-2 victory over Al-Nassr in the 13th round of the Saudi Professional League, held at the Al-Inma Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah.

Abdullah Al-Amri scored Al-Nassr's first goal with a shot that passed between Al-Sanbi's legs in the 31st minute, a moment that drew attention and sparked controversy during the first half.

Al-Sanbi confirmed in his statements after the match that the support of his teammates and the technical and administrative staff helped him overcome the mistake mentally and enter the second half with greater focus and a positive spirit.

The Al-Ahly goalkeeper explained that the most important thing after any mistake is the speed of recovery, emphasizing that errors are inevitable in football, even for top goalkeepers, and what matters is the reaction on the field.

Al-Sanbi apologized to Al-Ahly fans for the goal, pointing out the great support he received from the Portuguese sporting director Rui Pedro, who expressed his full confidence in his abilities.

Al-Ahli increased their tally to 25 points, moving up to fourth place in the Roshn Saudi League standings, following a valuable victory in the classic match against Al-Nassr.
