FC Barcelona is making significant progress in the deal for Hamza Abdel Karim, the promising Egyptian player from Al Ahly. The Spanish newspaper "Sport" reported that an agreement on the contract renewal is close before his official loan to the Catalan team, with his stay at Barcelona expected to continue until at least next June.

According to sources, Al Ahly plans to renew the player's contract for four years, a crucial step before loaning him out. This ensures the player remains with the Egyptian club in the long term if Barcelona does not exercise the option to buy him permanently after the loan period ends.

According to the source, the deal includes a purchase option worth 1.5 million euros that Al Ahly will receive if Barcelona retains the player after the loan period ends. Additionally, there are financial variables amounting to up to 5 million euros linked to achieving specific performance targets, including the number of matches played with the first team, goals, and other sporting achievements. These conditions extend throughout the duration of the contract to ensure a significant financial return for the Egyptian club if all the terms are met.

The deal comes as part of Barcelona's strategy to sign young international talents, with Hamza Abdel Karim initially joining Barcelona on loan. His development and adaptation to the team will be monitored until the end of June, before any decision is made regarding activating the purchase option.
