Cancellation of the Tifo Due to Low Public Turnout in the Al-Ahli and Al-Nassr Clasico
The Al-Ahli Saudi Club Fans Association announced a surprising decision to cancel the tifo planned for the match against Al-Nassr, as part of the 13th round of the Roshn Saudi League.
The decision came just hours before the highly anticipated Clasico, despite all official approvals for the tifos to be displayed in the stands during the match having been completed.
According to the Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiyah, the decline is due to weak public turnout in purchasing tickets for the match.
The newspaper confirmed that the number of tickets sold for the Al-Ahli vs. Al-Nassr match did not exceed 35,000 tickets by the time the decision was issued.
The Al-Ahly Fans Association decided to limit their activities to carrying large Al-Ahly flags, along with distributing white and green scarves to their members in the stands.
Al-Nassr Club tops the Saudi Professional League standings with 31 points, while Al-Ahli occupies fourth place with 22 points.
Al-Nassr drew 2-2 with Al-Ettifaq in the previous round, while Al-Ahli secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Al-Fayha.
