Tahir Abu Zeid said on the program "Ya Masa' Al Anwar" on the channel "MBC Masr 2" that there was a lack of focus and attention within Al Ahly club at both the technical and administrative levels.

He added: "There is a clear lack of interest in both the Egypt Cup and the Egypt Capital Cup, especially since the Egypt Cup took place at a difficult time, coinciding with a major tournament like the Africa Cup of Nations, which caused a lack of technical and administrative focus."

He continued: "If we were to give a title to this situation, it would be underestimating the handling of the two championships."

Regarding the reaction of the fans, Abu Zaid explained that public anger is present, but it is not as intense as usual. He said, "Certainly, the fans are upset, but not overly focused on it, because all the fans, including Al Ahly supporters, are focused on the Africa Cup of Nations tournament."

He concluded his statements by emphasizing that the Red players bear a large part of the responsibility, saying: "I certainly blame the players, because the team appeared to be lacking cohesion and underestimated the opponent."
