Additionally, it has submitted an additional expression of interest to host the 2031 edition, with the final decision on which edition to focus on to be made later.

The Korean Federation stated that this step is part of the initial expression of interest phase, during which it will study organizational options, infrastructure, and the timeline before moving on to the stage of preparing the official hosting bid in accordance with the standards and requirements of the Asian Football Confederation.

According to current data, the 2031 and 2035 editions are expected to witness strong competition among several continental federations, with initial interest from countries in both West and East Asia, in addition to federations that have previously hosted major tournaments and are seeking to organize the continent's premier event again. Predictions indicate that some bids may move towards joint hosting, in line with the Asian Football Confederation's recent trends.

The Korean Football Association relies on its extensive organizational experience, having previously hosted editions of continental and global tournaments. Additionally, the readiness of the stadiums, the advanced transportation network, and the widespread popularity of football in South Korea give it a competitive advantage in the hosting race.

The Asian Football Confederation is expected to open the official application process in the coming period, before entering the phase of technical evaluation and field visits, in preparation for announcing the host country or countries for each edition.
