Taha Ismail Attacks Al Ahly Players
Taha Ismail, former Al Ahly star, criticized the players of the Red Club after their elimination from the Egypt Cup.
Al Ahly lost to Telecom Egypt 2-1 in the Round of 32 of the Egypt Cup, resulting in the Red Club's elimination from the tournament.
Taha Ismail said on "On Sports" channel: "The level of Al Ahly team in the match against Telecom Egypt (WE) is concerning, despite the presence of big names."
He added: "The players' responsibilities in their positions are not being fulfilled, and there is no teamwork in the play. When I watched the match, I was shocked. If these are the future of Al Ahly, then this is a very big problem."
He explained: "Al Ahly generally needs a thorough reassessment in football at the first-team level; it needs a very significant review. There are players who are no longer suitable to play for Al Ahly; they have become outdated."
He continued: "Al Ahly needs support from the club officials, led by Mahmoud El Khatib."
