Telecom Egypt Causes an Upset and Eliminates Al Ahly from the Round of 32 in the Egypt Cup
Telecom Egypt caused an upset by defeating Al Ahly 2-1 in the Round of 32 match of the Egypt Cup held this evening, Saturday.
The regular time ended with a 1-1 draw, as Al Ahly's Omar Kamal scored in the 41st minute, and Mostafa Fawzi equalized for Telecom Egypt in the 81st minute.
After entering extra time, in the second extra period at the 110th minute, Mostafa Fawzi scored the second goal for Misr Lel Mokawloon.
With this result, Al Ahly is eliminated from the Egypt Cup, and Telecom Egypt advances to the round of 16 in the tournament.
