Liverpool team star Florian Wirtz appeared in a press statement after the 2-1 victory over Wolverhampton in the eighteenth round of the English Premier League, held at Anfield Stadium.

Wirtz said about scoring his first goal with the Reds: "It was an amazing feeling on the field with the fans present. I was very happy, and I still am."

He added: "I was confident that I would score a goal someday. I wished to start early with scoring and assisting goals, but things went this way, and I have to accept it. I just know that it will come, and I am trying to keep going in this manner."

He continued: "We played a great first half. We lost control but then regained the initiative. Everyone put in a lot of effort. In the last 20 minutes, we made things a bit difficult. I can't explain why. We need to change that."

He concluded, "This is the way we want to play. We want to be at the forefront. The start wasn't easy for us, but we are improving and earning points."
