Al-Ittihad Rejects Venue for Al-Khulood Match in King's Cup Semi-Final
Saturday 27-12-2025
Riyadh Al-Muzher, the official spokesperson for Al-Ittihad Club, announced that the club's management has decided to file an official objection to holding the Al-Khulood match in the semi-final of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup at Al-Hazm Stadium in the city of Ar Rass.

It has been decided that the match between Al-Ittihad and Al-Khulood will take place on Monday, March 16, at 10:00 PM, as part of the semi-final round of the King's Cup tournament.

Al-Muzher explained, during his appearance on the program "Action with Walid," that the federation's objection stems from a commitment to preserving the prestige of the King's Cup tournament and the necessity for the final stages to be played in stadiums that reflect its historical significance.

He pointed out that the capacity of Al-Hazm Stadium does not match the scale of the event, in addition to the difficulty of the match timing in the late days of Ramadan, which adds extra burden on both the fans and the players.

He added that the stadium lacks several essential logistical requirements, emphasizing that this could even affect the quality of the television broadcast of the match.

The official spokesperson pointed out that Al-Ittihad Club will communicate with the Saudi Football Federation to reconsider the match location, clarifying that the club does not insist on holding it in Jeddah.

Al-Muzhir concluded his statements by emphasizing that the federation is not seeking any special advantage, but rather demands organizational fairness and an image befitting the championship, reflecting the progress that Saudi football has achieved.
