The management of Brazilian club Palmeiras has officially begun its efforts to sign Roger Ibañez, the defender of Saudi club Al-Ahli, in the upcoming period.

Turkish journalist specializing in the transfer market, Akram Konur, revealed that Palmeiras has submitted an official offer to Al Ahly to explore the possibility of signing the Brazilian defender.

Connor explained, via his account on the "X" platform, that Al-Ahli Jeddah's management has set a condition to receive 25 million euros in order to agree to release Ibaniz, which has been a major obstacle to completing the deal so far.

He pointed out that Palmeiras is looking to strengthen its defense by signing Ibanez, but the high transfer fee and the player's salary make the deal difficult at the moment, unless there is exceptional flexibility between both parties.
