Tottenham's Plan in the Winter Transfer Market
CaughtOffside reported that Tottenham Hotspur is preparing for an active winter transfer window, with the management ready to invest up to £150 million to support head coach Thomas Frank and address the team's weaknesses, both in attack and defense.
Leading Tottenham's attacking targets is Antoine Semenyo, considered one of the most prominent wingers in the English Premier League this season. The player is seen as a perfect fit for the team's playing style due to his speed and productivity, but acquiring him will not be easy because of his £65 million release clause and strong competition from Manchester City.
Besides Semenyo, Tottenham is also considering attacking alternatives such as Savinho, Manchester City's winger, whose creativity and direct style of play the club values. His move could be either a loan or a permanent transfer, depending on what City’s management allows.
The English club is also linked to potential attacking target Samuel Omoregie, Porto's striker, who has shown notable physical strength and goal-scoring record, making him a long-term option to strengthen the team's attack.
Defensively, Tottenham is looking to reinforce the left flank, either by signing a natural left-back or a central defender who can play on the left side, providing the head coach with more tactical flexibility, as part of the club's major plans to invest in January and boost competition with other Premier League clubs.
