Bayern Munich Director on Permanently Signing Jackson: No Decision Yet
Wednesday 17-12-2025
Max Eberl, the sporting director of German club Bayern Munich, confirmed that the club has not made a final decision regarding the permanent signing of Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson, who is currently on loan from English club Chelsea.

In a statement to the German newspaper "Bild," Eberl said, "Will we sign him permanently or not? There is no clear direction yet."

Jackson joined the Bavarian team last September on a one-season loan deal that included a clause requiring Bayern to purchase the player for 65 million euros (approximately 56.25 million pounds) if he met a specific condition: starting in 40 matches in the German Bundesliga and the Champions League.

However, due to his limited key appearances (only 6 matches out of 18 in all competitions) and his absence from participating with his national team in the Africa Cup of Nations, it has become mathematically impossible to meet this condition before the end of the current season. Consequently, the decision to sign the player permanently now depends entirely on the wishes of the technical and sporting management at the Bavarian club.

Although his future is still undecided, Jackson delivered an impressive performance in the limited minutes he was given, scoring 5 goals in 18 matches, with an average contribution of one goal every 90 minutes played.
