According to media reports, Al-Ahli's management has begun exploring the possibility of signing Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrović, the former top scorer for Al-Hilal and current player for Al-Rayyan, making him the club's primary target in the winter transfer window.

Mitrovic is considered an ideal choice for the coaching staff due to his extensive experience and high scoring abilities in both Arab and European leagues.
