Morocco qualifies for the Arab Cup semifinals after defeating Syria

The Moroccan reserve team qualified for the semifinals of the Arab Cup after defeating their Syrian counterparts 1-0 in the quarterfinal match held today, Thursday.

The first half ended in a goalless draw, despite the back-and-forth attempts from both sides. Meanwhile, the Moroccan team suffered a severe blow when player Tarik Tissoudali had to leave the field due to injury in the 24th minute.

In the second half, coach Tarek Sektioui's team managed to break through the Syrian defensive formation after Walid Azaro scored the winning goal in the 79th minute, securing the team's place in the semifinals.

The "Atlas Lions B" will face in the semi-final the winner of the match between Algeria and the United Arab Emirates, which is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Friday, at 18:30 GMT+1.
